About

Sue Fluger is a self-taught artist. Her creative expressions span back to her early years before kindergarten when she learned how to color in the lines and draw her favorite animals. She remembers entering coloring contests and even winning tickets to the circus at the age of five. Pretty big deal. As her skill level has matured, her outlets have expanded to different mediums and styles. Whether depicting a subject with clean lines and clear interpretation or letting the colors and shapes flow together in moods, her journey of self-expression feels inexhaustible and unfolding. She will often tell you her work is a cooperation (at times a wrestle) between her and the canvas - the canvas knows what it wants to be and it’s Sue’s job to surrender to it. In that, her art teaches her valuable lessons about life itself. Sue is often commissioned for illustrations, design, and custom paintings. She currently resides in Austin, TX with her son Ellis, her sister Maggie, and her mini schnauzer Walter.
